I may be 36 years young, and a few years into my strength training journey. But sometimes LIFE just happens.
A year ago, almost to the day, I hurt my back. Ironically, while working out. I had a back spasm, shooting sharp pain. It was singular, went away. But I remember feeling sore the rest of my workout, which I thought was kind of odd. I’ve had charlie horses before, but this was NEXT LEVEL. (dare I say, MAYBE worse than childbirth ?? 🥴 don’t come for me lol). I showered and went about my day, but nearly two hours later, I had another shooting pain, that spiraled completely into back-spasms (!). I had never had these in my life, and I can tell you to this day, the most excruciating pain I’ve ever had. I nearly passed out. But was fortunately surrounded by friends and nurses when it happened, so I was well monitored.
All this to say - we’ve all been there—one wrong move, and suddenly you’re dealing with nagging pain that just won’t quit. But here’s the thing: you don’t have to wait until you're sidelined with an injury to see a physical therapist. In fact, definitely do not wait until you have that pain! But even if you do, you’re in good hands.
At Rehab 2 Perform, we do things differently. Our team isn’t just here for post-op rehab or quick stretches. We’re here to help you build strength, resilience, and prepare to perform for life. Whether you’re an athlete, a weekend warrior, or just someone who wants to move pain-free, working with a movement specialist can be a game-changer.
Why See a Physical Therapist?
Most people think physical therapy is only for recovering from surgery or rehabbing a major injury. But the truth? Movement is medicine. When done right, prescribed exercise isn’t just about bouncing back—it’s about staying ahead of issues before they start.
A Physical Therapist at Rehab 2 Perform Can Help You:
Prevent injuries before they happen – Address imbalances, weak spots, or mobility limitations before they turn into something serious.
Improve everyday strength – Whether it’s lifting your kid, running faster, or hitting a PR in the gym, movement-based training keeps you strong and capable.
Recover smarter – If you’re already dealing with pain or discomfort, the right exercises can help you heal faster and get back to what you love.
More Than Just Stretching & Ice
Gone are the days of being told to just rest, ice, and take it easy. At Rehab 2 Perform, we take an active approach to recovery and performance. That means:
Dynamic exercises tailored to your body and lifestyle.
Hands-on techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain.
Performance-based training that gets you back to doing what you love—stronger than before.
Take Control of Pain Before it Takes Control of You!
So, next time you feel that twinge in your back or that annoying knee pain creeping in, don’t wait for it to get worse. Come see a physical therapist and take control of your health before pain takes control of you. Your body will thank you!
