The Verification Process

To earn TCM Verified status, businesses go through a five-point verification process designed to prioritize what matters most to Howard County families.

Only businesses that meet our standards of professionalism, quality, and a personal touch are invited to become part of the TCM Verified Directory.

1) STANDARDS

We review each business’s website and social media to ensure they’re present, up to date, and professional.

2) REVIEWS

We check that each business has at least 10 public reviews with an average rating of 4.0 star (80% or higher)

3) CREDENTIALS

We verify any legally required business or trade licenses so you don’t have to wonder whether they’re legit.

4) INTERVIEW

Every business submits a short video interview with the owner or local manager.

5) APPROVAL

Verified businesses pay a fee for research, platform improvements, and annual listing maintenance.
