Howard County offers a plethora of exciting activities and events to make your Fourth of July memorable. From lively parades to stunning fireworks displays, we’ve put together some of our favorite ways to celebrate Independence Day locally:
Lakefront Fireworks in Columbia: Head over to the Columbia Lakefront for an evening of live entertainment and breathtaking fireworks. The celebration kicks off with live music performances, engaging activities, and delicious food options. As the sun sets, the dazzling fireworks display begins, reflecting over Lake Kittamaqundi. Bring your picnics, blankets, and your friends and family from 5-10pm In addition to the fireworks display, there will be food trucks, live bands and other entertainment. Fireworks are scheduled to start at 9:20 PM
Merriweather Post Pavilion Concert: For music enthusiasts, attending a concert at the iconic Merriweather Post Pavilion is an excellent way to celebrate the Fourth of July. A free music festival will be held in Downtown Columbia from 11am - 5pm at the Chrysalis in Merriweather Park.
Baltimore museum of industry: Enjoy waterfront views and a front-row seat to Baltimore’s fireworks display at the BMI’s family-friendly fundraiser. One ticket includes parking for a vehicle and all passengers, live music from Ken & Brad Kolodner, and museum admission. Bring your own food and drinks. $95 per vehicle.
