The Verification Process

To earn TCM Verified status, businesses complete a five-point process focused on what matters most to Howard County families.

Only businesses that meet our standards of quality, professionalism, and a community connection are invited to join the TCM Verified Directory.

1) STANDARDS

We review each business’s website and social media to ensure they meet our TCMV Standards. (Get our Pre-Verification Checklist here!)

2) REVIEWS

We check that each business has at least 15 public reviews with an average rating of 4.0 stars (80% or higher)

3) CREDENTIALS

We verify any required business or trade licenses so you don’t have to wonder.

4) INTERVIEW

Every business completes a short video interview with the owner or local manager.

5) APPROVAL

Verified businesses pay a fee for research, platform improvements, and annual listing maintenance.
