Since starting The Columbia Mom, I finally got to meet the owners of @verticalconnectioncarpetone here in Columbia, MD. Which is a big deal because they are one of Howard County’s longest standing local family businesses that was started 45 years ago. (Little fun Columbia trivia - Columbia was founded 55 years ago, so VC has truly been around since almost its birth!).
As a Columbia homeowner, I truthfully don’t know a lot about flooring and window treatments. But as a mom of two little toddlers, I know that QUALITY, DURABILITY, & PRICE matters! After walking through the showroom - I immediately found fabrics, flooring, & carpeting color choices that fit our aesthetic.
I also LOVED some of the incredible safety features you would find among their window treatments, like: voice activated retractable blinds, motorized blinds, single touch, and even magnetic wands, and more. Really I wish we had had ALL of these things before we had babies !
Part of the reason I love shopping online is to not have to deal with being “hassled” by any sales people, talking to strangers, etc. But What I wish more people in Columbia knew about VC is that their show room is absolutely gorgeous - and filled with incredible samples. All of their staff is there to completely help you, make you feel completely comfortable (with absolutely no overselling, etc).
