Books in Bloom 2023: Celebrate the Joy of Reading in Columbia, MD

Are you looking to feel more inspired and connected to your community? It’s almost time for the annual Books in Bloom celebration, brought to you by the Downtown Columbia Partnership. This outdoor festival is FREE and open to ALL ages.

Bring family and friends to experience the joy of books and reading through this celebrated tradition in Columbia, Maryland!

Spend the day interacting and hearing from some of the best and brightest minds including authors, chefs, activists, poets, and more. 

Immerse yourself in readings, panel discussions, interactive poetry walls, and pop-up bookstores. Programming themes include race, feminism, equality, and culture. This event is a grand expression of art that you do not want to miss!

This is an exciting opportunity to participate in family-friendly activities while hearing from several authors including Tae Keller and Eric Klinenberg, whose works highlight the event’s theme for 2023: “Building Community - Through Empathy and Understanding Each Other.”
