Lake Kittamaqundi is a central part of Columbia’s downtown area here in Howard County. If you’re a local, you know about this lake. It’s home to the beautiful Lake Front Live events with @columbiaassn , neighbors to Whole Foods, @merriweather_lakehouse , and several other restaurants.

Recently they put in BAILEY PARK, which features a slide, musical structures, and a climbing dome. Nearby there is also some shaded outdoor seating, and you can walk around the lake’s 1.4 mile loop, walk around the water fountain, or even check out @thepearlspa spa for their amazing services as well.

FUN FACTS:

“Lake Kittamaqundi is a 27 acre, man-made lake. The lake reaches a maximum depth of seven feet, and also features a wooden dock. The lakefront holds summer festivals, including free outdoor movies and concerts.”

“Columbia Lakefront has a trail around the lake. It’s also connected to other parks in the area. There’s a sign at the trail entrance behind the Whole Foods building.
